The following is the report from our
work in India for the month of September, 2009.
We currently have a need for $3,900.00 by the end of this month, January. Please be praying for God's provision for this need. District 9
99 people trained in 11 districts. A police man was investigating complaints about conversions. This police man visited two fellowships then told his superior that he was not going back to investigate. This happened with four other investigators. When questioned, they said that at the fellowships they experienced some dangerous power, and as they sat there observing what was going, that power was reminding them of all the bad things that they had done on the job and in life. So the police department left the church alone, and the Kingdom continues advancing. 12 house groups formed, and 12 churches started in September.
District 10
81 people trained in 10 villages. A village headman’s wife suffered from paralysis for a few years. On her way to the hospital for a check up she met a believing woman, who shared stories about Christ with her. After three hours, the headman’s wife accepted the Lord with enthusiasm. When these women parted, the headman’s wife mentioned that something was happening in her body on the side affected with paralysis. By the time this woman arrived home she was walking straight and could use her arms normally. In a total of six hours, she was completely healed; her family was shocked and overjoyed. She told them about her encounter and experience with God, and they thanked and praised God. Soon they accepted the faith and opened their home for worship. Now the whole family is actively involved in fellowshipping and worshiping the Lord. 11 house groups formed, and 8 churches started in September.
District 11
94 people trained in 9 villages. For 8 weeks, a farmer witnessed to, prayed for, and lived with a community of fisherman and taught them more about God’s word. When he left, the farmer had already baptized 53 people and started 3 fellowship groups among the community which later were put under the supervision of other 3 more experienced leaders. In total, 71 people have been baptized, and 4 house groups have been started. 17 house groups formed, and 9 churches started in September.
District 12
82 people trained in 11 villages. Please pray for a volunteer who has been in prison for converting people. A demonized woman was delivered at a training. Soon she started to witness and pray for people of her clan. From her efforts, 39 people have been baptized, and 3 house groups have started. 11 house groups formed, and 9 churches started in September.
District 13
93 people trained in 13 villages. In one village a farmer had an incurable wound for 17 years that affected his walking and frequently caused a fever. He came to a training, and at the suggestion of the team, he stayed during the teachings for 5 days; and the trainers prayed for him at the end. Two weeks later, he returned to share that the wound on his leg started to dry. This news spread amongst all his relatives and friends, which was followed by 23 baptisms and many more started to attend fellowships seeking this powerful, healing God. 13 new house groups formed, and 11 churches started in September.
District 14
83 people trained in 9 villages. A man suffered from epilepsy since he was a child. When his family came in contact with a trainer who prayed for him, the man was healed, and the epilepsy never came back. He accepted the Lord with his wife, two children, and mother. A 17 year old girl was delivered from demons that had tormented her for a few years. A village farmer was healed of joints pain and stiffness in the limbs. This man not only accepted the faith but also donated 100 kgs of rice during the training. 16 house groups formed, and 12 churches started in September.
District 15
89 people trained in 9 villages. A widow with no children or family was begging in the local vegetable market. The volunteer not only gave her alms but also shared the story of Jesus with her, and she believed. She continued to sit in the local market, not to beg, but to share the story of her life and how God changed it. According to reports, she has witnessed to 10 people per day on average. Last reported, the woman has witnessed to approximately 350 people. 13 house groups formed, and 9 churches started in September.
District 16
111 people trained in 12 villages. In one village a woman trainer is getting ready to do trainings only for women. This may turn out to be a new revolution in the history of our work. Please pray for her. The family of a girl who was sick with a skin infection contacted a volunteer, and she was brought to a training for prayer. After three weeks, the girl’s recovery was evident. Her father, mother, and the girl accepted the Lord the following week. 13 new house groups started, and 9 churches started in September.
District 17
92 people trained in 8 villages. A village farmer was in prison for stealing and other things. He was serving a sentence for 10 months. There, he met one of our leaders who was in prison for 8 weeks. This leader shared the gospel with him and baptized him inside the prison. When the farmer was released after his term and arrived in the village, no one trusted him. One night a neighbor came to his home asking him to pray for the neighbor’s sick daughter. The farmer agreed and prayed for the girl. God touched her, and she recovered completely in few hours. This incident gave him access into the hearts of the people again. Now he is a volunteer and arranges for upcoming trainings. He also wants to visit the prisons and reach people in there. 17 house groups formed, and 15 churches started in September.
District 18
107 people trained in 12 villages. After a sick man was prayed for and healed, he accepted the Lord and eagerly started to witness to his family and friends. He also had the faith to pray for sick people until he met a man who was blind by birth. With mixed feelings of fear and faith, he prayed for the man, and in no time the blind man could see. This changed the man’s course, and in 10 weeks, he has baptized 213 people and started 13 fellowships. Almost all of the people accepted the faith through healing and most of them were with some kind of problems in their eyes. 16 house groups formed, and 12 Churches started in September.
District 19
90 people trained in 7 villages. In a remote village with a population of approximately 1,200 people, they rely on farming and hunting all year round. One volunteer, who decided to reach this village with the gospel, formed a team with his volunteer friends, and they prayer walked this village for 2 weeks. The team was able to have great access into the village by providing free eye check ups. Within a few weeks, the team was eating and sharing and praying with the villagers. In 6 weeks, last reported, the team of volunteers had baptized 188 people, and 9 house groups had started. 16 new house groups formed, and 12 new churches started in September.
District 20
89 people trained in 9 villages. Please pray for a supervisor to recover from a sickness and for his family while he was away. A village farmer was in an accident on the road, and a volunteer, who was on his way home, took the man to the hospital, which was 4 hours away, and informed the family of the accident. When this farmer got back home, they welcomed the volunteer into their home where the volunteer shared his faith with the family. The family of 6 people accepted the Lord the following week and also opened their home for fellowship. 17 house groups formed, and 15 new churches started in September.
District 21
89 people trained in 11 villages. This district has the most number of leaders and volunteers right now. Please pray that all those who show interest and commit themselves to God’s service may be mobilized in the field properly and used by God. A village sorceress involved in sorcery for 3 generations got sick and had suffered from fever constantly for 8 weeks when one of the volunteers shared the healing and saving power of God with her. When she was willing, a volunteer prayed for her. She recovered in a few days, renounced her magic practices, and accepted the faith with her family of 9 people. 12 house groups formed, and 10 new churches started in September.
District 22
82 people trained in 11 villages. In one village a deaf barber came in contact with one of our volunteers. The volunteer prayed for him, and the barber received his healing and received the Lord as his Savior, too. Soon the barber got into witnessing to his customers and praying for the ones who would want him to do so. 15 house groups formed, and 9 Churches started in September.
