Trained 160 people in 14 villages. In one village one of our volunteers was attacked by ten H!ndu fundamentalists as he was walking to his home late one evening. They began to push him and abuse him and threatened to kill him. They accused him of converting and being unfaithful to his caste and community. Our volunteer said at first he was very nervous and thought his life was over. He said that he then felt an immediate peace and boldness come over him. Full of the Holy Spirit, he turned to his attackers and boldly proclaimed the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. He said that they could kill him if they wanted to because he was willing and ready to die and if they killed him he would be having dinner with Jesus in Heaven. As he said these things, four of the ten ran away and the remaining six fell to their knees and cried like small children. In four weeks, the six men who stayed have committed their lives to the Lord and two of them are ready to receive our training and want to devote their lives and services to the training. There are many stories from this district about how men and women who have received our training have given their lives to spreading the gospel of the Kingdom of God. One man, who was formerly a very strong H!indu fundamentalist is now leading all of the volunteers in this district. Another man was saved in December of 2007. Since that time he has been instrumental in starting more than 39 house churches, has baptized more than 650 people and discipled 17 new leaders. Truly this man is one of the "faithful men" as reported in 2 Timothy 2:2. A lady volunteer, who is a faithful wife and mother of three, was saved in April of this year. Since that time she has been instrumental in leading more than 75 women to faith in Jesus Christ. This district is reporting 38 new house groups, 21 new house churches and 128 baptisms.
Trained 179 people in 17 villages. In
one village there lived a man who had a stuttering problem. He had
been trained to be a school teacher but because of his speech problem
he could never get a job. He heard that Jesus could heal him as he
attended one of our trainings. He and the trainer prayed for his
healing. The next morning he woke up and could speak clearly. He has
been completely healed. He now has a job at a nearby school and he and
his entire family are following the Jesus that healed him. He is also
being discipled by one of our volunteers and is telling everyone what
Jesus did in his life. In another village there was a woman who had
been suffering from lung cancer for several months and everyone in the
village expected her to die. Our training came to her village and her
husband attended one of the sessions. He told the training team about
his wife and they began to pray
for her daily. After five days of prayer the woman was able to get up
out of bed. She then began to gain some strength and start eating food
again. She has now gone back to normal and has been completely healed
of the cancer. She and her husband and their four children are now
followers of Jesus. In addition, 58 people from her village have been
baptized and 110 people from her village have started coming to various
house churches due to their witnessing God's healing of this woman.
This district is reporting 39 new house groups, 23 new house churches
and 179 baptisms.
Trained 180 people in 15 villages. In one village a man who was a former thief (stealing and killing is the evening sport for the tr!bal peoples after they get drunk) gave his life to Jesus this month. He had been an animist and also had some H!ndu beliefs as he worshiped the goddess Kali, who is an incarnation of Durga the destroyer god. This man's testimony of coming to faith goes like this. One night he and his thieving friends were on their way to a neighboring village when this man was bitten by a poisonous snake. His friends went on and promised to send back help. The man began to get very ill. He prayed saying that if there was only one true God would that God come to help him. One of our volunteers passed by, on his way home from a training. He saw the half conscious man on the side of the road. He stopped to help the man and rushed him to his village where he and some of his friends prayed for the man. The man was instantly healed and he and his wife and three sons are now believers. In another village, one of our volunteers was bitten by a snake and he passed away. He left behind a wife and four children. Please pray for his family. This district is reporting many healings and miracles. One man, who is a village head, has decided to purchase two bicycles for our volunteers to use so the training can go on in a faster way. This district has 49 volunteers working to spread the training. Please pray that the numbers of volunteers will continue to grow. This district is reporting 31 new house groups, 19 new house churches and 115 baptisms.
