Trained 171 people in 13 villages. In one village a man was working in his field and had an attack of paralysis. His young son was working with him and ran back to the village to get help. Some villagers ran to help the man and took him to the hospital where he was treated but nothing changed and his paralysis stayed. Several months later the man's wife prayed for his healing. She had heard that Jesus could heal as she had attended one of our training sessions. She had not yet believed in Jesus but prayed to God asking Jesus to heal her husband. She told God that if Jesus healed her husband then she would believe in Jesus and tell the whole village. That night the man felt someone shaking his body. He woke up and saw a man standing over him with a lot of light coming from behind him so that his identity was not visible. The man heard the unidentifiable man say to him in a sweet but orderly voice to rise up and stand on his feet. The man, without thinking, obeyed and stood up. He then said that it felt as if he woke up from his sleep and found himself standing but there was no one else in the room with him. The man began to jump around and he woke his family and his neighbors to tell them of his healing. The wife then told the husband that she had prayed to God for Jesus to heal him. Now the entire family of five are followers of Jesus and the wife is preaching the gospel, just as she promised, to anyone who will listen. In another village a new believer's mother had been paralyzed for five years. The new believer asked our trainer to come to his home to pray for his paralyzed mother. As they walked into the home they heard the mother screaming, "I will leave her. Please let me go! I am going. Allow me to go!" By the time they reached the woman she had passed out. When she woke up they prayed for her deliverance and she got out of bed, talked, ate and accepted the Lord and was baptized before dawn. The next morning, the entire village was in shock over what had happened. Our trainer took advantage of this opportunity and shared the gospel with the village. That day more than 37 people gave their lives to King Jesus. This district is reporting 34 new house groups and 16 new house churches.
Trained 172 people in 17 villages. One
of our volunteers, which is a person who has received the training but
is not receiving financial support, was traveling to a village to do
some prayer walking. This man had only been a believer for 16 weeks.
As he entered the village he was asked why he was there. Knowing that
his answer had the potential to turn a normal situation into a bad one
he simply said that he was a doctor who heals people. He was
immediately taken to the home of the village leader. The village
leader's daughter had suffered from epileptic fits for many years and
this had kept her from being married which was a shameful situation for
the village leader. Our volunteer was now in a situation of having to
prove his claim to be a doctor. He said he was very nervous but
through the Holy Spirit's leadership began to pray for the girl to be
healed. As he prayed she fell to the floor and started
to roll around. When she came to her senses she was well and the man
was asked to stay in the village leader's home. He stayed for the next
three days. The girl is completely healed and our volunteer shared the
gospel with the village leader who, along with the rest of his family,
began to follow Jesus. In another village, during our training
sessions, those attending the training began to feel sick. The trainer
began to pray and led his team to pray. As they prayed things seemed
to get worse so they called some supervisors for help and soon eight
more brothers came to join in prayer. They prayed through the night.
The next morning they received victory as all of the attendees no
longer had the sick feeling. Then came news that the local witch
doctor wanted to meet with the training team. They went to his home
and learned that he had become completely paralyzed the night before.
They went into the home and found the
witch doctor on the floor crying, laying next to burnt incense, red
powder, a human skull and animal bones. No one knew what to do. One
of the volunteers began to clean up the house and then the others
joined in. When the house was clean they gathered around and began to
pray and sing and worship Jesus. As they did this the witch doctor
began to get some of his movement back. Finally, he was able to sit up
and was crying in a very loud way. The witch doctor then began to
share his story. He said he had been casting spells over the training
session and cursing those who were attending when he was suddenly
struck down by a great light. He clearly understood that he had been
struck by a power greater than that which he was conjuring up. One of
our volunteers shared the secret of new life and the witch doctor
renounced his practice and began to follow King Jesus. This district
is reporting 18 new house groups and 12 new house
churches.
Trained 165 people in 13 villages. In one village one of our volunteers prayed for a man who had cancer. That same day the man died. The village blamed the man's death on our volunteer and they tried to abuse him physically but he escaped. The next week another person was on their death bed and find no other options the dying person's family members approached our volunteer. He was nervous and shivering with fear as he left his home to pray for the sick man. He said that while he was walking to the dying man's house he was praying, "Lord, even if the person is not healed please do not let him die." When the volunteer laid his hands on the sick man the man stood up and walked instantly and received an instant healing. Many in the village became followers of Jesus because of this miracle. In one village a woman had been suffering from boils all over her body. She was brought to one of our volunteers and he prayed for her and she gradually was healed over about a week. She had suffered from these boils for seven months. In another village a seven-year-old girl who had been blind from birth was brought to one of our trainers. After prayer for healing the girl received her sight within ten days. Her vision was restored completely. This district is reporting many other healings and miracles. This district is reporting 19 new house groups and 8 new house churches.
