District 1
Trained 89 people in 6
villages. In one village there lived a farmer who had shown signs of
unnatural behavior since he was 13-years-old. He often wandered alone
in the forest, beat people up for no reason and he had even attempted
to kill several people. Cursing and yelling were also part of this
young man's daily life. There were times when he would fall on the
ground, foaming at the mouth. He often had to be chained up to protect
himself and others. The village suspected that the boy was demonized
and his parents tried everything they knew to do; witch doctors,
medical doctors and they even visited Hindu shrines in the mountains
seeking help for their son. This young man was delivered from the
demon when our trainers visited his village. Our training team was
conducting a session and they heard about this young man. The trainer
and two volunteers went and prayed for the
man. Within minutes of their praying the demons began to manifest and
they threw the man on the ground and he began to scream, "Leave me
alone or I will kill everyone!" Soon the demons were begging for mercy
and yelling that they would leave immediately if they were not hurt.
The trainer asked the demons who they were and they said that they were
many and that they ruled over many neighboring villages through the
boy. After the deliverance, word spread through the village. That
same week 97 people were baptized after hearing the story and deciding
to follow Jesus. This district is reporting 14 new house groups, 9 new
house churches and 97 baptisms.
District 2
Trained 68 people in 6 villages. Our
trainers planned to go to a remote village with a population of roughly
2,000 in mid-July. Just before they were to start the training people
within the village began to get very sick. Some of the H!ndu
fundamentalists saw this as a curse from their gods for allowing the
training to come to the village. We saw this as a spiritual warfare
issue and began to intercede and mobilized even more in prayer. The
closer the training time came, the more people became sick. Many
people had boils, fever, vomiting, asthma, swelling in the limbs and
general body pain. This was impacting the whole village. The host
called us and asked us to postpone the training. We prayed and decided
to stick with our plan, believing this again to be a matter of
spiritual warfare. The week of the training finally came and we sent
five volunteers and two trainers. By the time they
arrived in the village they all were sick with the same symptoms as
those in the village. The volunteers and trainers were praying in the
host's home when they were visited by three men who came to ask the men
to leave, complaining about the sickness and strange things that were
happening in the village. Our team listened but refused to leave and
then they prayed through the night going from home to home and asking
if anyone was sick. By 8 am, after praying all night, more than 350
people had been healed instantly. The team said it was as if the
sickness was waiting to leave as soon as they laid hands on the sick
person. By the end of the week, 1,478 people accepted the Lord and
were baptized. Basically the whole village began to follow Jesus!
Thanks for the training and for the looooooong chain of disciples that
the Lord is raising up! This district is reporting 19 new house
groups, 11 new house churches and 1,478 baptisms.
District 3
Trained 80 people in 5 villages. This
district has experienced heavy rains during this monsoon season.
Because of the heavy rain, snake bites are up. Medical treatment for
snake bites is limited and many people are unable to get treatment in
time. In one village a farmer was bit by a venomous snake but his
fields were so far away that by the time he made it to his village he
had lost most of his strength and could barely manage to tell a
passerby to inform his family. His family came and helped him back to
his village. In India it is believed that the snake-charmers have
spiritual powers to heal snake bites, but this effort did not work and
the village witch doctor could do nothing. The man had no hope. Then,
one of the villagers mentioned that he had heard that Christians pray
and their God heals the sick. Our trainer happened to be conducting a
training in a neighboring village. The trainer
and several volunteers came and prayed for the man and he was healed.
This man and his family accepted Jesus that day. The village is also
now open for both the gospel and for the training. This district is
reporting 19 new house groups and 7 new house churches.
District 4
Trained 90 people in 7
villages. One of our trainers was entering a new village seeking a man
of peace when he encountered a demon-possessed man. Before the trainer
could enter the village he was stopped by the demon-possessed man, who
said this to our trainer; "We are the rulers of this area. We know
your reason for coming to this village. We will not allow you to
succeed in your intentions so we have been waiting for you here today
to tell you that we will kill and destroy your entire family, your
leadership and your disciples if you try to intrude in our territory."
Our trainer responded with righteous anger and commanded the demons to
leave the man in Jesus' name. The man fell on the ground and began to
foam at the mouth. The demons then left the man. Now there are three
house groups in this village and discipleship training is in process.
The result of the trainings
in the past two years is not just healing, miracles and salvation, but
also unity, prayer warriors being raised and people being mobilized for
the effort to make disciples of all nations. I (my Indian partner)
want to thank you again for your prayer support, your resources, your
training and your presence here with us in all of this. Without you
all of this would not have been possible. This district is reporting
13 new house groups and 10 new house churches.
District 5
Trained 74 people in 8 villages. In one
village there was a couple who had been married for three years but
they had not been able to have children. Our trainer shared Jesus with
this couple and they believed on Him and began to fellowship in a house
group. Just five weeks later, the woman has become pregnant. This
couple has since become a part of our efforts to train and raise
leaders. In another village one of our local leaders is very very sick
and hospitalized with jaundice. Please pray for him. In another
village a young married woman has been healed from an issue of blood
from which she was suffering for four months. In another village a
policeman was given the responsibility of investigating complaints
about conversions. The policeman appeared at the front door of a house
church leader and heard strange sounds coming from within. He pushed
the door open and saw 13 men and women
praying. The policeman said that as soon as he opened the door he was
hit by a rush of wind and he felt an electric shock going through his
body. He fell on the ground and had visions of hell and heaven. When
he woke up from his trance, he became a believer. Now this policeman
wants to be a trainer and a full-time volunteer. This district is
reporting 6 new house churches and 73 baptisms.
District 6
Trained 98 people in 7 villages. In one
village there lives a man who is a H!ndu activist and a village head.
This man is known for his cruelty, arrogance and anti-Christian
activities in the area. One of our volunteers is from this village.
Our volunteer heard from the Lord that he was to go and visit the
village head. In obedience, but trembling, our volunteer approached
the village head's home. As he approached he was thinking that this
may be his last day on earth since the village head had been in prison
before for killing two of his political rivals. When the village head
opened the door our volunteer noticed that he had open wounds on his
feet. He asked the village head about the wounds and learned that he
suffered from diabetes. The volunteer offered to pray and the village
head, knowing that he was going to lose his leg soon anyway, agreed.
The volunteer prayed and the healing was
quick. The amputation was canceled and the village head is now a part
of the local house group along with his family. This district is
reporting 9 new house churches and 72 baptisms.
District 7
Trained 103 people in 9 villages. Our
trainings have been a remarkable way of reaching out to people. We are
reaching out to the sick, the demonized, people in need and above all
people who wait to be delivered and experience salvation in their
lives. One of our volunteer trainers had an accident and has been in
the hospital with a broken leg and three cracked ribs. Please pray for
his healing. In one village a widow had been paralyzed for several
years and was completely bedridden. One of our volunteers met this
lady and prayed for her. She was healed of her paralysis and her
lifeless limbs regained strength immediately. In another village, a
man who accepted the Lord a few months ago has been beaten by his
brother and persecuted by his family. He had to leave his village
because the persecution was so great. This man is now involved in our
volunteer training teams, working as a cook and
arranging the logistics of trainings. Pray for his family and
villagers as he wants to return to his home and he wants his relatives
and friends to follow Jesus. He also greatly misses his wife and
children who stayed behind with the rest of his family. This district
is reporting 8 new house groups and 6 new house churches.
District 8
Trained 90 people in 6 villages. In one
village a poor farmer who was the father of eight children was sick
with asthma. This man did not own his own fields so he had to hire
himself out for day labor. This required him to walk great distances
but his asthma made it very difficult. This man attended our training
and was prayed for and healed instantly. He accepted the Lord and is
now praying for others to be healed. He has given reports of more than
70% of the people he prays for being healed. In another village a man
was healed of a skin disease he had suffered from for several months.
This man has also been praying for others to be healed and God is using
him in a great way. Many men and women are coming to faith through the
healings and then they are learning that anyone can pray for healing
and they go out and do so and healings are leading even more people to
faith in Jesus. This district
is reporting 16 new house groups, 9 new house churches and 91 baptisms.
