District 1
Trained 65 people in 6
villages. In one village, a farmer had been sick with a brain-fever
for two months. His wife was also sick and he has three daughters, 8-,
6- and 5-years-old. The family had no food to eat and the father and
mother were too tired to work. Our trainer initiated help for the
family, providing food and medical supplies. This act of love impacted
the family and the whole community saw the importance of this and
developed a reserve fund to help those who were sick and in need. This
farmer eventually passed away, but not before placing his faith in
Jesus Christ. Within 4 weeks of his death, 17 homes have been opened
with people gathering to learn more about Jesus. This district is
reporting 23 new house groups, 6 new house churches and 216 baptisms.
District 2
Trained 41 people in 3 villages. Many
demonized people were delivered and many sick people were healed during
this month. One girl, whose kidneys had been malfunctioning for
several years, was healed. There are also many volunteers in this
district. In fact, the number of villages that are open for training
is smaller than the number of volunteers. Some of these volunteers
decided to start an adult literacy ministry in 2 villages. We are
excited about this holistic work. This district is reporting 7 new
house groups and 4 new house churches.
District 3
Trained 52 people in 5 villages. Four
of our volunteers have been arrested for preaching the gospel. Please
pray for them as we seek to make a case to get them bailed out of
jail. In one village, a woman, who had been sick for many years with
asthma and a skin disease, was healed. She accepted the Lord as did
her son and his family of 8. This healing and conversion resulted in
great interest in this village area and many have asked our trainers to
come to their homes to tell them about this King Jesus. This district
is reporting 5 new house churches and 41 baptisms.
District 4
Trained 55 people in 4
villages. One of our volunteers died in a car crash as he was
returning from a training to his home. Please pray for his wife and 4
children. In one village, a new believer was arrested for his faith.
While he was in prison, he witnessed to close to half of the prisoners
and baptized three prisoners and one guard. He was released when the
arresting police officer was suspended for bringing false charges
against this man. In another village, a man who had been deaf in one
ear for a long time was healed instantly. This man's best friend is
the head of the village. After the healing, the village head invited
our trainer to his home to hear more about this King Jesus. This
district is reporting 8 new house groups, 5 new house churches and 51
baptisms.
District 5
Trained 39 people in 3 villages. One of
our volunteers for this district has taken it on himself to visit all 8
districts and gather information on all of those who have volunteered
for us this year. This will be good information to have. In another
village, a mother of 3 has decided to mobilize all of the women
believers in her surrounding area. She wants to see them all
volunteering to advance the kingdom of God. The more volunteers that
are raised up, the faster the work advances. In one village, a farmer
who had suffered from a skin disease for many years was healed. He and
his family of 9 are now meeting with some volunteers to learn more
about the kingdom of God. The most exciting thing is that this family
is sharing what they are learning with so many others, even though they
haven't yet placed their faith in King Jesus. This district is
reporting 7 new house groups and 3 new house
churches.
District 6
Trained 68 people in 6 villages. A very
influential man, who is head of 20 villages and a leader of one of the
local Hindu activist organizations, had been suffering from a constant
migraine for several years. This man came in contact with one of our
trainers. The trainer and some local believers prayed for this man and
he was instantly healed. He and his family of 4 accepted the Lord and
they are now sharing the gospel with everyone they can. This has
impacted this district in a great way and many of the village heads who
work for this man are now curious about this great power that healed
and changed their boss. In fact, 13 of these village heads have
requested that the training be done in their villages. This district
is reporting 2 new house churches and 37 baptisms.
District 7
Trained 48 people in 4 villages. In one
village, there has been an epidemic of stomach flu. We have tried
several times to gain access to this village. One of our supervisors
has visited with the local social service organization staff,
requesting permission to visit this area. Please pray that access to
this village opens up soon. In another village, a man was healed of
the flu. This man and his family began to attend one of the house
churches in the area. This caused a great shock and uproar in the
village and the community rose up against the church, burned the house
in which the church was meeting and beat up the believers, including
women and children. Many had to flee for their lives, leaving
everything they owned behind. This district is reporting 9 new house
groups and 5 new house churches.
District 8
Trained 42 people in 3 villages. One
man, a cobbler by profession, accepted the Lord. He led his family of
5 to the Lord and since then has led more than 54 people to the Lord.
This district lies close to the border of the state of Gujarat. Many
of the people in this district can speak Gujarati, so they are going
over into Gujarat and doing cross-cultural ministry with the Gujarati
Hindus. This is a very exciting development. One of our volunteers
was in an accident and has fractures in his right leg. Please pray for
his quick recovery and for the welfare of his family. This district is
reporting 5 new house groups, 4 new house churches and 37 baptisms.
