November was another great month for our 24 trainers in central India. They trained 231 people in 24 different villages. They baptized 96 people, started 14 new house groups and 8 new house churches. We continue to praise the Lord for his great work through these men we trained in July of 2007, sent in October of 2007 and are now supporting for 1 year as they go to make disciples in 8 tribal districts. Please pray with us as you read the following report from each district. Pray for protection for the men and that they are able to be bright lights in the dark areas they are seeking to reach. Also, pray for financial provision for these men as we have a monthly need of $2,000.00 to cover their support. District 1
Trained 39 people in 3 villages. A school teacher in one village was forcefully stopped by some thieves and beaten and robbed in the late hours of the evening. This happened while he was returning home on his bicycle from his school. Our trainer was returning home from a training session when he saw the wounded man. He took the teacher home, gave him shelter, fed him, prayed for him, took him to get medical help and finally helped him to reach his home and his family. A week later, the teacher returned with his 6 children to learn more about the God our trainer had shared. Now there is a home group started and the teacher's neighbors, 7 to 8 in number, are also seeking the truth.
District 2
Trained 32 people in 3 villages. A 13-year-old girl was healed of partial blindness. The whole village confirmed that she could not see far off things and could not see at night, but now she could see figures and objects much more clearly. A woman and two men were healed of joint pains and fever. This district saw 3 house groups formed, 2 house churches started and 13 baptisms.
District 3
Trained 28 people in 3 villages. A village head women heard the gospel from her relative and also heard that the Lord hears all prayers. Just before local elections, she came to the relative and the relative brought her to the trainer who prayed for the Lord’s favor in the upcoming elections. She won the election by a remarkable margin. She immediately accepted the Lord and was baptized. She also opened her home and sponsored a training in her village school.
District 4
Trained 22 people in 3 villages. A man was healed of acute stiffness in the bones and now he and his family of 3 are attending a house group as seekers. Another man, who was baptized last month, walked on foot for 3 weeks to witness to all of his friends and relatives and other people he knew. He shared his testimony with more than 200 people and was instrumental in starting 2 house groups. This district saw 2 house groups formed, 3 house churches started and 27 baptisms.
District 5
Trained 28 people in 3 villages. In one village, a widow with 2 daughters died of tuberculosis. The believers in this village adopted the 2 girls, who are 8 and 10-years-old. In another village, a 14-year-old boy was healed of a long-term fever and a skin disease. This district saw 4 house groups formed, 1 house church started and 39 baptisms.
District 6
Trained 29 people in 3 villages. I (our Indian partner) personally want to thank all of you who helped with the medicine. There has been remarkable acceptance from the 13 villages we covered. These villages had been hard to access, but we were received with much openness and joy. The villagers invited our trainers into their homes to eat meals. Thanks again for helping.
District 7
Trained 30 people in 3 villages. The farmers in this district are known for theft and loot, both as a sport and as a way to pass their free time. They are this way because they are able to take only one crop per year and have nothing to do the remaining 8 months. One such farmer accepted the lord last year during one of our trainings. He has now been instrumental in Baptizing 73 people in 6 months and he also started 6 churches and is a leader of his church. This man hopes to train 100 leaders in the next 2 years. In one village, a man was healed of an epilepsy he had struggled with for 3 years.
District 8
Trained 23 people in 3 villages. In one village, a woman who had been demonized for more than four years was delivered from the demons. The woman accepted the Lord along with her husband and 4 children. In another village, a woman was healed of an issue of blood from which she had been suffering for many months. This district saw 4 house groups formed, 2 house churches started and 17 baptisms.
