District 1
Trained 42 people in 3 villages. This district is reporting 11 baptisms and 3 new house groups. A 29-year old man who had suffered from partial paralysis and cirrhosis of the skin for 3 1/2 years was healed. The man and his extended family of 16 Adults and 7 children accepted the Lord.
District 2
Trained 21 people in 3 villages. One of our trainers was doing his second training in a village and a 7-year old girl fell into a 23-foot deep open well. The girl lost consciousness and was thought to be drowned. When the news came to the training meeting, the brothers attending the training and the trainer rescued the girl and took her to get medical care, saving her life. The girl's father and relatives gave gifts to the trainer and offered to pay for the all the expenses and food during the 5 days of the training and started to attend a fellowship. The last we heard he had attended worship twice.
District 3
Trained 31 people in 3 villages. This district is reporting 9 baptisms and 3 new house groups. A woman was healed from the issue of blood and 2 children from the same family but different mothers were healed of prolonged fever. One of our volunteers, who also happens to be a male nurse in a nearby medical facility, arranged for medicines to be supplied to help with recovery from malnutrition. This family requested the trainer to start a (seekers) fellowship in their house.
District 4
Trained 27 people in 3 villages. This district is reporting 11 baptisms, 2 new house groups and 4 new house churches. This district is the remotest of all among the tribal belt. This past month has been one of the biggest Hindu festivals in India; “DIWALI” (the cracker festival). The Hindu fundamentalists have been trying to convert the Tribal Animists into idol worshipers, and they continue to make a big drive to promote Hinduism among the Tribal peoples.
District 5
Trained 21 people in 3 villages. Persecution has continued in this district for the last 3 1/2 months resulting in a little slower work progress. A sister was healed of night blindness and a girl was healed of skin infection. A poor farmer was listening to the training since he was the neighbor to the believer's home where the training was going on. The man heard that the Lord is all powerful and all knowing, and that evening he approached the neighbor asking that if his "god" is all knowing then "he" would surely know where to dig a well in order to get water. This challenge started the poor farmer’s journey to become a believer. The neighbor took the farmer to the trainer. The trainer prayed and indicated where the well needed to be dug. They started digging the well the next day and almost immediately they found a sweet water stream. The farmer is now a believer.
District 6
Trained 19 people in 3 villages. This district is reporting 8 baptisms and 3 new house churches. The district is experiencing chicken pox. Many children and women have been under the influence of this infection and an eye infection called conjunctivitis is also making life miserable for the villagers. Most important of all there are long lists of requests from believers to pray for them. I have asked our volunteers who are from local medical clinics to help believers with a free supply of eye drops and medicine. This works as a good platform and provides an opportunity to gain access into the closed villages and communities. There is a definite need of $1,100.00 to supply help to the district with medicine because of a lack of government infrastructure and the limited availability of resources.
District 7
Trained 22 people in 3 villages. This district is reporting 17 baptisms, 4 new house groups and 4 new house churches. One believer, who also happens to be a village head and a well to do farmer, gave 5 bags of wheat (500 kilograms) for training in the district this year. He accepted the Lord last year when the believers had prayed as his 7 month old daughter survived fatal injuries when she fell from the 2nd floor. One of the trainers met with an accident, with minor rib injuries and bruises.
District 8
Trained 27 people in 3 villages. This district is reporting 2 new house groups and 3 new house churches. A woman was dying of the last stages of tuberculosis and our trainer was requested to come and pray. He did and mobilized other volunteers to continue visiting her and praying for her. In 4 weeks the woman recovered and has been healed though she is still very weak. The constant visiting has automatically helped a home group to be started in this house. The neighbors, friends, family members and others who had been a witness to the dying woman are now gathering in this home to seek the one true all powerful God.
